Weaning a toddler is an important milestone for both parents and children. Weaning means that the toddler has transitioned to drinking water, juice, or milk from a cup instead of nursing or bottle-feeding at their mother’s breast. Weaning can be difficult for some children because they are used to getting food this way. Weaning also means that mom is no longer breastfeeding her little one! We are here with three tips on how to make the transition easier for everyone involved.
1) Offering Toddler From A Cup- This step will help your child get used to drinking out of a cup without being too thirsty or hungry when it comes time to wean them off of breastfeeding altogether.
2) Weaning Gradually- Weaning your child gradually will be easier than weaning them all at once.
3) Weaning From One Breast- Weaning one breast at a time will help break up the process into smaller chunks that are easier to manage.
We hope you enjoy these Weaning Tips! We wish your child the best of luck in their journey to wean.
